Payback 2 (Android)

Frequently Asked Questions

I get a "license failed" message when logging in to Google Play

First, make sure that you downloaded the game from Google Play - downloads from elsewhere will fail with this error. Assuming that you did, this is an issue with the Google Play app cache - it's out of our control, but here are some steps that should help:

  1. Tap Settings, then Applications (sometimes just called Apps)
  2. Find Payback 2 in the app list, and un-install it
  3. Then, find Google Play Store, select it, then tap "Clear Data"
  4. Close Settings, then open the Google Play app and re-install the game

This will clear the cached data about what apps you own, and re-running the Play Store will download a correct list of apps you own including Payback 2.

In some cases, you might need to reboot your device after step 3. Please try the steps as shown above before trying it again with a reboot between 3 and 4.

The game crashes as soon as I run it

Please get in touch and let us know which device you're using so we can investigate further!

Who wrote the game's music?

The game only includes one music track - Requiem Mass in D minor by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, which is used in the intro and occasionally in-game. However, it can also play whatever music you happen to have on your device. You can choose which playlist is used via the options menu - select "none" to disable playback altogether.
